Matt Johnson

Matt Johnson is a freelance illustrator and artist. His work is inspired by the natural world and local Cornish landscape, which both feature heavily in his book covers and print designs. He starts his illustrations by sketching outdoors on location, before creating the finished piece back at home using paint, collage and digitally with Adobe Illustrator. He was born in West London, studied illustration at the University of Portsmouth and has lived in Cornwall since 2004. He is based in Falmouth where he lives with his partner Kathryn and their black cat, Pooky. You can see his work at https://www.mattillustration.uk/
